180 families of Shibganj are laughing at the shelter project

Khalid Hasan,Bogura: On the occasion of the centenary of Mujib, two bedrooms, a toilet and a kitchen have been constructed at a cost of Taka 1 lakh 81 thousand under the Asrayan-2 shelter project. Poor families are now overjoyed to find a place to live.

Family Begum (38) of Kufa village in Maidanhatta union of the upazila made a living by begging with her mentally handicapped husband Eiser. Due to lack of land, he had no place to go. She used to take shelter in her poor father’s house with her crazy husband. Now the family lady is very happy to get the house of the shelter project given by the Prime Minister. Said, we never imagined we would ever be able to stay at home!
Deputy Commissioner Ziaul Haque visited the Shibganj shelter project house on the 11th of this month. He told the media at the time, the houses will be inaugurated soon. These poor people will get a permanent place to live.

Government’s shelter project:


Mr. Ali (20) of Kufa village of the upazila got a house under the government’s shelter project. Although he can provide any kind of rice by working as a laborer, he does not have enough space to make sesame seeds. Finally “water without clouds”. She is overjoyed to have her place on the list of beneficiaries of the government’s shelter project.
“I don’t have any land to live in,” said Joynal, 70, who found a house in the same shelter. Being able to have children in a brick house is a dream for me.

Shibganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer Alamgir Kabir spoke about this on Tuesday. He said the Prime Minister is giving houses to 160 families in Shibganj. Two bedrooms, a kitchen and a toilet have been constructed for each family at a construction cost of Tk 1 lakh 81 thousand. Not only that, the land will be registered in the name of the beneficiaries for 2 centuries. As a result, they will get permanent ownership of houses and land. He also said that the Prime Minister would formally inaugurate the houses through video conference on January 23.
